A brief but well-earned rest...

After a hectic summer, the Castle is closing for a week to allow our wonderful staff to recharge batteries and rediscover private and family lives. Doors will be closed from Monday, 10 October and re-opening on Tuesday, 18 October. Thanks to everyone for their support and encouragement and hoping to see you in the autumn and winter months when we hope to introduce some things to help get through the darker days.

This Friday, Zepice are offering a range of tantalising, spicy and aromatic curries, alongside more traditional seaside fare. Contact us with your preferred time for eating in or takeaway, and give your choices if possible to help the chefs manage quantities.

Today's Special Spaghetti Bolognese. Given the Pieraccini approval " just like Mama makes" it reminds me of home.

We are very pleased to announce we will be re-opening on Friday 30th April. Covid restrictions will be in place which means alcohol will only be served outside. Food will be served from 5pm to 8pm with last meals to be ordered by 7pm.

Our rooms will be available from 1st May and we are delighted to be able to welcome visitors from all the UK.

Sadly the Castle pub closed on Friday 20th March as required by the government. We also took the step to close the Hotel on Sunday 22nd as we were concerned about the health and safety of our customers and staff.

Bring your loved ones along to the Castle for a romantic meal on Friday 14th February. Choices include a sharing platter, succulent steaks and chocolate fondue with marshmallows and fruit.

Our Christmas special menu is available from Friday 20th December. Booking advised.

It's going to be a great night

The first Castle Quiz Night of 2019 will take place on Tuesday 5th February at 7.30pm. Just a bit fun on a cold winters night. £5 per team, max 4 people in each team. Winner takes all so the more the merrier.
